    AWS Cloud Engineer/Developer 

    Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics products and services company that gives clients unmatched speed to value through analytics solutions and actionable business insights, is seeking qualified candidates for a Solutions Architect experienced in designing applications, log analytics and monitoring solutions using ELK stack or Splunk. This role requires an estimated 35-40 hours/week commitment for 6-9 months with a possible extension. Responsibilities and requirements for this position are provided below. 

    The Solution Architect will have a mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen. This role requires both broad and deep technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services, ELK stack and OpenSearch. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    ANALYSIS AND DESIGN 

    • Conducts fact-gathering sessions with users. 

    • Consults with Technical Managers and Business Owners to identify and analyze technology needs and problems. 

    • Participates in group application design activities. 

    • Performs data flow diagramming and/or process modeling (code architecture). 

    • Independently design, configure and implement various AWS modules. 

    • Some development will be required for shared services and components or technically challenging areas where the skills of an architect are needed. 

    • Providing senior management with process and design recommendations. 

    • Architectural decision-making.

     

    STRATEGY ALIGNMENT 

    • Works with the other technical team members to continually improve implementation strategies, development standards and other departmental processes and documentation. 

    • Provides technical assistance and mentoring to lower-level Software Engineers. 

    • Communicates plans, status, and issues to management on a regular basis. 

    • Adheres to department standards, policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Mandatory to have AWS solution architect certification 

    • Experienced in any kind of migration projects that involve migrating from one technology to a different technology. 

    • 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in a mid to large-size organization with AWS services. 

    • Possess 4+ years of current solution architecture (implementation/consulting) experience and own each technical engagement and help ensure timely and successful delivery of value. 

    • Experience architecting/implementing infrastructure solutions with specific recommendations on compute, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures. 

    • Require at least 2 years' experience on ELK stack and a good experience in setting up, configuring ELK stack. 

    • Have good experience in setting up indices in ELK and setting up security roles and policies to enable role-based access control. 

    • Good to have experience in creating/configuring Kibana dashboards 

    • Must be aware of any IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CFT, AWS SDK etc.  

    • Good understanding on SDLC, GitFlow and day-to-day developer duties. 

    • Must be aware of CI/CD pipelines and well-versed in using Jenkins for creating required pipelines for CI/CD. 

    • Has some experience with Amazon OpenSearch 

    • Takes initiative and proposes solutions and workarounds; readiness to work through tough deadlines 

    • Demonstrated Experience in OAuth, SAML, etc. for the various Cloud workloads. 

    • Troubleshoot (AWS Cloud and other associated apps and tools) key customer implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to a successful resolution. 

    • Responsible for end-to-end Solution Design, Architecture, and AWS best practices to integrate with ecosystem and infrastructure. 

    • Ability to partner with domain architects to develop the end-to-end solution architecture including application, infrastructure, data, integration, and security domains.

      

    GOOD TO HAVE 

    • Experience in application development using any of the programming languages (Java, .Net, etc.). 
    • Prior project experiences in log monitoring and analytics solutions. 
    • Knowledge on AWS OpenSearch Service and approaches/thoughts on migrating to it.
