    Remote - Midwest or East Coast 

    Specialty applications chemical manufacturer has an immediate need for a Business Market Development Leader to be globally responsible for driving the growth of their product line and deliver on financial performance targets.

    In this role, you will manage your market segment and partner with colleagues on best business development practices to expand the reach of new markets, regions, and customers. Success will be measured through the development of your business pipeline and the ultimate conversion of opportunities to financial results. You will work collaboratively with the New Business Development team, Global Sales team, and Application Development Scientists to develop and execute on growth strategies to achieve company growth objectives.

    New Business Development

    • Manage the development and conversion to revenue of the new business pipelines for assigned markets.
    • Develops relationships with new and existing customers to identify current and future needs. Translate validated needs into product and application requirements for the technical and manufacturing teams.
    • Support global sales team throughout the customer lifecycle. Negotiate and close agreements with key customers.
    • Identifies tradeshow opportunities and other associated activities to promote customer understanding of product and technology capabilities.
    • Develop customer presentations and participates in customer meetings.
    • Evaluate, assess, and build an understanding of market dynamics and trends for focus markets. Translate market knowledge into actionable commercial and go-to-market strategies.
    • Own and maintain market intelligence for focus markets.
    • Develop and execute marketing plans in collaboration with product management to expand the reach of Ascensus within target markets.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Science. Chemistry degree a plus!
    • Must have 4+ years of previous new business or market development experience
    • Experience in evaluating and assessing markets as well as driving, and closing complex highly technical value chains/sales while selling to a technical audience. Electronics, Semicon, Pharma API or industrial a plus!
    • Proven ability to penetrate and work across all management levels in a remote role.
    • Strong facilitator and negotiator. Flexible and innovative approach to problem-solving. Adept at translating ambiguity into action.
    • Ability to Travel -   Prior experience with multi-cultural relationships a plus!

    The compensation package includes a competitive base salary and an incentive-based program.
