Kaizen Human Capital is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in Los Alamos, NM. The successful candidate must be client-oriented, highly organized, possess strong interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, and be articulate in written and oral communication. The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to develop positive relationships with clients by building/sustaining rapport, anticipating needs, and gaining trust and respect. The position will provide support to one client 70% of the time, while supporting other clients 30% of the time.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Maintain employee files
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
- Develops standard operating procedures
- Assists in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart
- Workforce planning and recruiting
- Manages marketing materials
- Coordinates training activities
- Develops required human capital reports
- Supports the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Provides high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Candidates must have at least 5 years relevant work or internship experience. Experience in the human capital / resources field is preferred.
- Candidates must have strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Candidate must be detail oriented, highly organized, and capable of providing quick turnaround, accurate responses.
- The candidate have strong capabilities in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
