Kale's Nursery, an award-winning Nursery and Landscape Design/Build Firm located in Mercer County, is looking for a full time Landscape Designer with sales and project management experience to join our team. Kale's is a family owned and operated business committed to offering high quality goods and services to residential and commercial clients in the greater Princeton and Coastal NJ area for over 65 years. Responsibilities - Communicate throughout the entire design and build process with new and existing clients to understand the scope of the projects and goals of all involved. - Communicate with colleagues and installation crews to coordinate scheduling, procurement, and installation of the design. - Develop landscape plans that effectively and sustainably address the clients' requests. - Prepare cost estimate quotations, contracts, and final invoices. - Oversee and supervise installation of project, and inspect finished landscape work to ensure that it adheres to the contracted plan. - Conduct follow-up inspections as necessary to ensure success of installation. - Additional responsibilities as necessary to ensure client and contract satisfaction. Qualifications - 5+ years of residential or commercial landscape design and sales experience is preferred. This can include intern, volunteer, or related sales experience. - Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related field preferred. - Understanding of drainage issues and appropriate site grading responses. - Possess a working knowledge of trees, shrubs, and perennials commonly used in the landscape industry for central New Jersey and the eastern shore region of New Jersey. - Must be able to work independently as well as a team member. - Must be able to coordinate crew members and oversee job site (Spanish speaking a plus). - Must be able to communicate verbally and written in a professional manner with customers and crew members. - Proficiency in using AutoCAD. - Ability to convey designs to client using hand drawn sketches and/or computer aided imagery. - Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills to create estimates and contracts. - Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and professional. - Valid driver's license required.
