    The Role You Will Play

    • The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of components and sub-systems, working primarily on the AVDS Engine (cooled, V-12, turbocharged, diesel engine currently rated up to 1200hp).
    • This role will also assist in the development of components and sub-systems for transmissions and turret drive systems for military ground vehicles.
    • In addition, this role will write and present both internal and external engineering reports and presentations.
    • The Mechanical Engineer is entrusted with projects that range in scope from advanced research and development of future products to failure analysis and incremental improvements to existing products.

    Background Profile

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university along with 4+ years of relevant work experience
    • Expertise in engine and engine sub-system design and development, especially valve train and lubrication systems.
    • Working knowledge of performing mechanical stress and structural engineering calculations we well as thermal fluids and heat transfer calculations
    • DOD security clearance, or ability to obtain
    • Strong time management and administrative skills
