The Role You Will Play
The Principal Software Engineer (SysOps/DevOps) will create, migrate, and maintain distributed cloud systems focusing on full Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC), release management, and modern tools and pipelines.
In addition, using creativity and initiative this role will improve product test coverage, reliability, and effectiveness.
This role will help scale products by applying modern techniques such as serverless and microservice architectures as well as incorporate monitoring products such as New Relic and PM2 in production.
The Principal Software Engineer (SysOps/DevOps) is entrusted to mentor junior and senior engineers.

Background Profile
7+ years of experience deploying and maintaining scalable infrastructure in production partnered with 2+ years working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
5+ years working with containers and similar tooling (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
Strong knowledge of building multi-region reliable systems with disaster recovery policies as well as network troubleshooting and terminology including LAN/WAN, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, TCP/IP (IPv4), DNS, Subnets, etc
Familiarity in code reviewing and writing one or more of the following languages/scripts: JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Python, C, C++, Rust, Bash, CloudFormation, Terraform
Bachelor’s Degree along with professional certification in 1 of the following: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
