    DESCRIPTION

    This position supports system governance strategy, execution and compliance. It is responsible for reviewing change requests to ensure all change requirements have been met in preparation for change approval that aligns with change management & configuration management processes. This role leads and facilitates all related meetings as well as performing all administrative functions within the ITSM tool.

     

    Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Solves a range of moderately complex problems. Leads projects of limited scope and portions of larger projects. Provides informal guidance to team members with less experience. Contributes to department objectives and outcomes as guided.

     

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Updates process flows, procedure documents and manuals.
    • Supports change and release requests through the Configuration Management process utilizing ServiceNow.
    • Maintains data quality, integrity and security of ServiceNow configuration management database.
    • Supports the creation and maintenance of status reports and after-action reports.
    • Supports change/release/configuration readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go reviews.
    • Provides assistance with updating and maintaining change management templates, user access, and training users concerning the use of the Change Management tools and processes.
    • Maintains cross-functional relationships and coordinates work between teams.
    • Supports the creation of success metrics, including detailed KPIs and Critical Success Factors.
    • Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

     

    IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

    REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
    • Minimum two (2) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

    PREFERRED

    • Experience with ServiceNow Change Module
    • Good understanding/experience of the program/project management process
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
    • Analytical and problem solving skills
    • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
    • Business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
    • This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
    • This position may require minimal travel up to 10% of the time.
