    As a Controls Engineer at our Meridian, MS facility, you will program PLC ladder logic, maintain PLC-based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation. You are part of the Engineering Team for launches, troubleshooting, and improvements of highly automated controls, robotic and welding systems.

    • Support operations in electrical/controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
    • Generate wiring schematics and control drawings with AutoCAD and maintain all plant electrical prints.
    • Work closely with the Engineering Team to define system control needs.
    • Lead projects and assist skilled trades in electrical disciplines.
    • Assist corporate controls in engineering changes and new programs.
    • Guide design, develops, and tests electrical control methods, materials, processes and results.
    • Champion assigned engineering changes, communicate and coordinate accordingly with all departments.
    • Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and Quality registration (ex. TS 16949, ISO 14001, etc.)
    • Accountable for adhering to all internal and OSHA-required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
    • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex., Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Level II Procedures etc.).

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology or other technical disciplines.
    • 5+ years as a Controls Engineer within a manufacturing environment; automotive strongly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of PLC hardware, Ladder Logic programming and AutoCAD.
    • Metal stamping and assembly experience strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrate ability to read and define electric drawings, pneumatic and/or hydraulic plans.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
