    Financial Aid Advisor for Institutional Endowed and Expendable Awards

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Advisor for Institutional and Expendable Awards shall be responsible for Awarding reviewing and monitoring of all endowed and expendable scholarships funded through donors to the University.

    Essential Functions:

    • Working closely with student endowed and expendable scholarship recipients to ensure that they understand the donor thank you process and to assist them with any related concerns
    • Keeping the Associate Director abreast of any issues with endowments, expendable awards or other institutional programs that could impact the timely processing of loan applications and or funds.
    • Monitoring and auditing awards to ensure student compliance with endowed scholarship requirements
    • Working closely with student scholarship recipients to ensure that they understand the process and assisting them with letters, questionnaires, and release form submissions.
    • Acting as a University and department liaison with internal/ external entities responsible for making endowed/expendable recipient recommendations
    • Assisting the Director in the awarding, renewing and monitoring of institutional grants and scholarships.
    • Reviewing and completing federal verification cases, ensuring accuracy and maintain accountability by careful attention to detail in compliance with federal regulations.
    • Counseling prospective and enrolled students and parents about financial aid programs, policies and procedures and directing students to other University contacts as needed. Assist with problem resolution when necessary.
    • Delivering seamless, effective customer service with a diverse population of students, staff, faculty, alumnae and outside agencies.
    • And all other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid.

    • Prior experience with Ellucian Banner system preferred
    • Ability to conduct presentations and workshops on pertinent financial aid topics of interest, including financial aid procedures and financial literacy.
    • Ability to navigate computer software and use common software applications, such as Microsoft Office is preferred.

    Physical Demands:

    • This position requires heavy use of a desktop or laptop with extended periods sitting at a desk.
    • While performing duties, employee may occasionally be required to stand for extended periods during University presentations or other functions.

    Travel

    • Occasional local and distant overnight travel to meetings and/or training conferences

    Required Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor Degree
    • Two years prior related experience preferred
    • Experience with Ellucian Banner is a plus

    All Kofax Sr. Sales Engineers regardless of title or level must possess the following skills and knowledge:

    • COMMUNICATIONS/LISTENING SKILLS

    (Internal & external) – including but not limited to professional writing, problem escalation, and good analysis skills as outlined below.

    • ANALYSIS/DISCOVERY (ROI) -

    Ability to plan for and conduct an Interview with the prospect and/or customer to determine the true business requirements to help build a valid Return on Investment (ROI).

    • PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    Critical path analysis to do risk assessment, problem decomposition and resource estimation. Not a concentrated focus on the tools available to manage projects but a working knowledge of the concepts and how they apply in sales situations i.e. knowledge of the theory, not the mechanics.

    • SALES & PRESENTATION SKILLS

    Professional presentation skills and experience in team selling, solution selling methodologies, and an understanding of and ability to utilize the Kofax Sales Process.  Presentation skills at this level should include instances of presenting to any size audience.

    • TIME MANAGEMENT

    Ability to manage projects including preparation for presentations and demonstrations, training, scheduling, and reporting, and expense processing. This is critical to the success of the sales opportunities as the Sr. Sales Engineer will be required to manage multiple sales campaigns at any given time.

    • INDUSTRY/GENERAL TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE

    The Sr. Sales Engineering should have at least a HIGH-LEVEL UNDERSTANDING of the following:

    • Print Management, Capture and PDF products
    • MFDP Print and Scan channel sales through first hand experience
    • Optical Character Recognition
    • Digital print and IT infrastrucutre environments
    • Printer manufacturer embedded platform frameworks
    • Network technologies: OSI Layers, TCP/IP, Subnets, Ports, Routing, DNS, DHCP, SNMP
    • Communication protocols: POP3, IMAP, SMTP, EWS, FTP, SMB
    • Web services: WSDL, SOAP, OpenAPI, REST, JSON, sync + async
    • Scritping: VBScript, Java Script, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, HTML
    • Databases: basic knowledge of SQL, SQL vs NoSQL, load balancing, TDE
    • Architecture: nTier vs. client/server, load balancing, High Availability and disaster recovery
    • Security: authentication (AD, LDAP, OAuth, OpenID, 2FA) + application security (encryption methods for data at rest + data in transit)
    • Cloud: private vs public, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, and NIST and CSA cloud criteria
