Axis Engineering is dedicated to designing and developing assembly solutions, metal forming and inspection fixtures.
To help us drive excellence, as a General Repair II you’ll get to:
· Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
· Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
· Install and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
· Repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots.
· Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect and repair any malfunctions.
· Discusses machine operation variations with supervisors, operators, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
· Understand and adhere to wiring standards as specified in NFPA 79 (NEC) code books and use “best practices” for wiring equipment.
· Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
· Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
· Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
· Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
This full-time role is a part of our Maintenance Department and reports to the Operations Manager
Required Skills & Abilities:
Education and/or Experience:
· High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. ****
