    Axis Engineering is dedicated to designing and developing assembly solutions, metal forming and inspection fixtures.

    To help us drive excellence, as a Maintenance Technician in the Technical Trades Program you’ll get to:

    · Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.

    · Learn to read and layout machine footprints from a CAD drawing to accurately install equipment.

    · Learn to perform basic mechanical installs and repairs during machine build as well as perform preventative maintenance on machinery.

    · Gain a basic knowledge in pneumatics with the ability to plumb machines to the designed controls print.

    · Learn to install fencing and other guarding to the designed specifications and company safety standards.

    · Gain a basic electrical knowledge of high and low voltage systems.

    · Learn to run custom pipes on machines and measure, cut, thread, and install new pipe, including black pipe and copper lines.

    · Will learn to start machines and equipment to test operation following machine build.

    · Develop the basic ability to modify computer controlled motion of robot.

    · Develop an intermediate skill level in operating mig, tig, and oxy/acetylene torch.

    · Perform all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).

    This full-time role is a part of our Maintenance Department and reports to the Operations Manager


    Required Skills & Abilities:


    · Valid Driver’s license approved by the Motor Vehicle Policy

    · Successfully complete Hilo and Crane training program within 30 days

    · Must have own tools

    · Must be able to attend 4 year TTP program through an Autokiniton approved college

    · Must pass aptitude test

    · Drug screen is required to enter the training program

    · Basic machine maintenance knowledge and/or experience.

    · Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment/machinery.

    · Good multitasking skills.

    · High level of cooperation.

    · High level of commitment.

    · Natural problem solver.

    · Ability and willingness to learn.

    · Able and willing to work any shift assigned.

    · Able to travel up to 50%.

    Education and/or Experience:

    · High school Diploma or general education degree (GED) or currently working on GED required; one to three months related experience and/or training.
