PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

• The Mechanical Foreman is responsible for overseeing employees in Locomotive mechanical craft.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Applicant must have mechanical and electrical background
• Must be familiar with FRA Rules and Regulations and be able to prepare and properly fill out all forms required for the operation of Diesel Locomotives
• Will supervise mechanical crafts
• Applicant must be familiar with AAR Rules of Interchange, AAR billing procedures, Open Top Loading Rules
• Have knowledge of Locomotive Department procedures including reports
• Have the ability to instruct Machinist’s in all phases of Locomotive repairs & Train Yard operations, including computer skills, including but not limited to Web Mail, SAP, CRB, ITM, TYES, NEXUS/YARD PLANNER
• Will be required to respond outside of terminal, on 24 hour call as required
