The strategy & planning analyst is primarily responsible for turning data into meaningful insights and business solutions. They should be able to start from a business hypothesis, frame a structure to answer pressing business questions, identify the data needed, use creativity and common sense to gather data, and analyze that data to get to answers. The successful strategy & planning analyst is an independent thinker who's able to communicate their ideas, progress, and findings effectively to all levels of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Building & updating factsets for the business and industry
• Helping to build & maintain models in Excel and/or Alteryx
• Reading through press releases, articles, investor presentations to learn quickly about different competitors
• Synthesize primary & secondary research into insights
• Understand business' current and long-term needs, market, and competition
• Collaborate heavily with Head of Strategy & Implementation to brainstorm and organize information & analytics

   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Advanced Excel analytics & modeling
• Experience with Alteryx and/or Tableau highly preferred
• Excellent verbal & written communication (be able to voice & defend their ideas)
• Strong problem-solving & critical thinking skills
• Excellent primary research & customer insight generation
• Ability to sense-check & validate autonomously; high attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, process & synthesize large amounts of information quickly & accurately
• Strong business acumen
• Desire to achieve high standards & learn fast
• Fluency in English

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (relevant major preferred – Business, Economics, etc.)
• Current enrollment in MBA/Master's preferred
• Previous work experience (min. 1yr) in consulting, corporate strategy, and/or business analyst roles (specifically, building strategic growth roadmaps, business optimization, organization design, etc.)
• Can demonstrate project involvement in various stages of strategic planning cycle
• Experience working with C-suite executives
• Experience/exposure to fintech and/or lending industries
