As a Capital Markets Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the structuring, analysis, and execution of asset-backed securitizations and warehouse facilities. Your role will involve analyzing underlying asset pools, assessing risks and trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute new transactions and monitor existing portfolios. This is a hybrid position working from our Los Angeles office/home.

What you will do:

• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data from various sources including market feeds, financial reports, and other data providers. Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for predictive analytics.
• Reporting and Visualization: Create reports and visualizations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders. Use data visualizations tools to present complex data in an understandable format.
• Market Research: Monitor market trends, investor sentiment, and economic indicators relevant to ABS markets.
• Risk Analysis: Assist in risk assessment and management related to securitization collateral pools and portfolio performance. Develop analytics and models to predict portfolio trends and performance.
• Stress Testing: Build and manage the liquidity stress test framework for cash flow at the facility level.
• Deal Execution: Support deal execution by coordinating due diligence processes and liaising with external parties such as rating agencies, banks, investors, and trustees.
• Technology Utilization: Utilize advanced financial/data modeling and statistical techniques. Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Python, or R is essential.

What we are looking for:

• BA of BS degree in a Finance, Economics, Accounting Statistics, or related quantitative field
• 5-7+ years work experience in capital markets, banking, corporate finance, or other related fields
• Strong data skills are essential with experience in one or more of the following (Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Python, or R)
• Strong knowledge of capital and financial markets concepts, data analysis techniques, and financial modelling experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. Able to take on new projects and bring unique ideas and solutions to the table
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects with high attention to detail

Kapitus Benefits:

• Competitive Base Salary of $87,000-$140,000 (dependent on level of experience and geographic location)
