  • Responsibilities

    Sales Development Representatives I (SDR) will be responsible for prospecting and engaging with Small Business Owners, while assisting in closing new business consistently at or above target levels.   The main objective is to acquire financing packages from qualified merchants.  The secondary function of this role is to facilitate the funding process with the guidance of an Account Executive.  Primary methods of contact will be via phone, email, and text. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing relationships with customers and generating new business through pro-active, targeted outbound calling/texting/emailing
    • Contacting new prospects and leads, while re-engaging aged opportunities
    • Diligently follow up with any leads or opportunities that have not successfully converted
    • Maintain detailed records of all customer communications, and interactions in Salesforce CRM
    • Achieve target KPIs for calls to leads/prospects, packages received, approved opportunities, and funded contracts and payment
    • Ensuring all funding application packages are complete with the appropriate documentations and signatures
    • The ability to qualify a lead/prospect on the phone/email/text
    • Adhering to Kapitus compliance policies and procedures with regard to all external communication
    • A comprehensive understanding of the Kapitus Direct Sales product offering
    • SDR's engage with the Product Team to provide feedback on technology enhancements, as well as be trained on new system releases
    • SDR's engage with Marketing Team to ensure that the right customers are coming into the Sales Funnel, and properly progressing through the Sales Cycle
    • SDR's engage with the Renewals Department when they are in contact with a current customer of Kapitus
    • SDR's engage with the Business Development Division when they are in contact with a potential partner, or are assigned referral-based leads/prospects

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 1 Year of Inside Sales experience in either FinTech, IT, SAAS, Financial Services, and/or any large ticket consultative sales organization
    • Experience in achieving & exceeding metrics in a performance-based role
    • Strong written, verbal communication, and listening skills
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong negotiating skills
    • Deductive reasoning capabilities
    • Advanced arithmetic
