As a Product Owner at Kapitus, you'll be responsible for helping our customers find suitable lending and cashflow management options to grow their businesses. You will enable our employees to respond to customer requests and aid them to manage their repayments.
You'll be the “Visionary” who will lead the design of your product by working with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that the needs are understood and staying true to our core mission, we build features that are innovative and deliver the most value. You are responsible for growth and risk - accountable for achieving business objectives and financial metrics, communicating to all levels of the organization, and crafting an agile roadmap to guide the product to market.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You'll be part of a small, persistent team and have endless opportunities to take on responsibility, continue learning, and mentor others.
- Develop and implement product strategies consistent with the Kapitus business model, strategy and with input from senior leadership, stakeholders, and the development team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Collect and analyze feedback and data from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape features and end products.
- Work daily with development and analytics teams to clarify requirements and utilize data to drive decisions and priorities.
- Continuously adapt the plan by adjusting scope and priorities to deliver the most valuable solutions possible.
- Balance the value of deliverables with their associated cost, dependencies, and risk.
- Create, maintain, and own the product backlog, objectively balancing directions from multiple stakeholders.
- Write and maintain epics and features that are focused on delivering value and track to business metrics, like conversion, efficiency, retention, and loss rate.
- Define user stories that are ready for the development team with the right “definition of done”.
- Collaborate and build trust with other Product Owners to maximize overall value delivery over individual product.
- Represent the Kapitus and Product team's culture of Collaboration, Transparency and Respect.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You are an internally motivated Product Owner, Scrum and Design Thinking are firmly rooted in the way you think and work. Passion for your craft will go a long way in making you successful in this role.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner delivering measurable business value. You love to actively engage in discussions on best practices for prioritizing your backlog, writing user stories, and driving value via metrics.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
- Fair knowledge in financial products and banking domain.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills, including a strong sense of empathy.
- Excellent organizational, documentation and time management skills.
- You are comfortable managing ambiguity and risk that comes with creating new things. You have an experimental mindset that spurs you to test ideas and validate assumptions using data.
- You can look at the bigger picture and helping to find creative technical and non-technical solutions to meet business needs.
- You can speak to the needs of the C-suite just as fluently as end-users, as being the voice of the customer to stakeholders, developers, and customers genuinely excites you.
- Driving prioritization of product enhancements that enables development teams to be focused and deliver smart value focused features.
- Love for learning drives you to independently study so your skills are always up to date, likely leading to you earning your PSPO/CSPO or attending conferences
