Job Description

Kar Town is a family owned and operated business located in Rosenberg, TX. We specialize in selling and financing pre-owned vehicles to those in our community who have found themselves in a bad credit or no credit situation. Our sales associates are responsible for handling incoming sales calls and internet leads. The expectation is to convert the incoming leads to over the phone applications. From that point, management will decide if the deal is pre-approved for our program or turned down. The next step is to set an appointment for the applicant to complete the application in person. At the appointment, the sales associate collects proof of income, proof of residency, 10 references, and looks at the customers credit. At this point they will make adjustments to the application. From there, based on the applications internal "stability score" and down payment, management will decide what vehicles the applicant is qualified for. The sales associate will show the vehicle, then close on the final terms. Once that is done, we move to paperwork and that is the end of the sale.

While we are technically selling vehicles, we are really selling our program as a whole. Every vehicle purchased at Kar Town comes with a 12 month/12,000 mile powertrain warranty. A AAA+ membership is also included with every purchase. We provide free car washes and oil changes throughout the life of the contract. We also have a 3 day return policy to help our customers feel more secure in their purchase. We have an A+ rating with the BBB, a 4.9/5 rating on Facebook, and a 4.8/5 rating on Google. We also specialize in short term financing so our customers are typically only committing for a 3 1/2 year term. These are the selling points we rely on.

We do require that applicants for this position are fluent in Spanish. The position does require Saturdays. Because we work Saturdays, a day off during the week is given- in this case, Tuesdays. The hours M-F are 8:30 AM - 7 PM. On Saturdays we work 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Some flexibility in your schedule is important because there are cases in which we have to work late with very little notice.

Compensation is commission. A "guarantee" is available for the first few months so that you can take your time in training and not feel pressured to immediately start making sales. There is a small base pay but the position is mainly commission. We only have 4 salespeople on the floor at one time so that everyone is able to make a good living. The pay plan is rich and includes ways to make bonuses and spiffs that are not sales related. We are a non-competitive sales floor and believe in working together to achieve a greater end goal.
