  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Handling all daily ocean and air export shipments from booking until invoicing
    • Providing expert advise to clients regarding logistic processes, documentation, inspections, letters of credit, or any other shipping questions which may arise;
    • Booking, arranging for or confirming cargo space with carriers;
    • Arranging pick up of cargo to port
    • Preparing and/or processing export declarations, including the required ‘electronic export information’;
    • Preparing and/or processing carrier Bills of Lading, Delivery Orders, legalization of documents or other shipping documents;
    • Issuing House Bills of Lading or equivalent documents;
    • Preparing and/or sending advance notifications of shipments or other documents to agents, shippers or consignees as required;
    • Coordinating the movement of shipments between origin and destination;
    • Tracking shipments and sending regular status reports to clients;
    • Data input/ logging files;
    • Communicating with all external and internal partners as well as customers to ensure smooth transport arrangement;
    • Operating according to our Standard Operation Procedures;
    • Support General Manager with General Office duties
     
    
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school degree required;
    • 3 years’ experience with ocean exports (required) and air exports (preferred);
    • Strong Understanding of Ocean and Export regulations and documentation;
    • Experience in using and navigating CargoSoft software is a plus;
    • Attention to detail and excellent oral and written skills required, customer service experience required;
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
