  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Handling all daily ocean and air import and export shipments from booking until invoicing
    • Providing expert advise to clients regarding logistic processes, documentation,
    • inspections, letters of credit, or any other shipping questions which may arise;
    • Booking, arranging for or confirming cargo space with carriers;
    • Issuing Delivery Orders and arranging pick up of cargo to port or delivery of cargo to final destination;
    • Submitting AESDirect Filings for exports;
    • Assisting/ forwarding all necessary information and documentation to Customs Broker in order to clear shipments in accordance with U.S. government regulations for imports;
    • Issuing Bill of Lading instructions for carriers and House Bill of Ladings for customers or equivalent documents;
    • Proofreading and checking carrier bills of lading or other shipping documents;
    • Issuing Certificate of Origins;
    • Arranging legalization of Certificate of Origins, Commerical documents or similar documents for export if needed;
    • Preparing and/or sending advance notifications of shipments or other documents to agents, shippers or consignees as required;
    • Coordinating the movement of shipments between origin and destination;
    • Tracking shipments and sending regular status reports to clients;
    • Data input/ logging files;
    • Communicating with all external and internal partners as well as customers to ensure smooth transport arrangement;
    • operating according to our Standard Operation Procedures;
    • working with our Transport Management System, Cargosoft.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school degree required;
    • 3-5 years’ experience with ocean import and exports (required) and air imports and / or exports (preferred);
    • Strong Understanding of Ocean Import and Export regulations and documentation (required);
    • Attention to detail and excellent oral and written skills required, customer service experience (required);
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel (required);
    • Language skills in German and/or Mandarin is a plus;
    • Experience in using and navigating CargoSoft software is a plus;
