Go Kart Race Track Operator
Kart Track Operator (Starting Pay ($13 / Hr.) Summary: Observe all activity on and around the kart track to ensure the safety of everyone. Maintain, clean and have available the KCA rental karts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Associates assigned to the Kart Track Operator responsibility are expected to: - Ensure the kart track is clean and ready for use any day that it is scheduled to be open. Including checking all safety equipment and related supplies including charged radio, cones, flags etc. - Act as race control whenever karts present in pit lane. This includes knowing the proper meaning and use of all flags. - Be certain all kart track rules are being followed at all times and all drivers are wearing proper safety gear - Perform cleaning on all rental karts as per training received when no participants are on track - Keep busy, when all other duties have been performed associate should find things to do that can improve the appearance or operations of the track Competencies: To perform the job successfully, associates need to be able to demonstrate: - Present a quality image to members and renters - Be able to perform all the duties of a corner worker as per Autobahn training - Decision making-when to call for safety personnel - Be reliable and punctual to work Qualifications/Experience: To perform this job function, associates must have: - None (Training provided) Physical Requirements: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the required functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, bend, talk, and hear. The associate must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good peripheral vision. Adequate ability to communicate verbally is important for safety reasons. Job Requirements: - Must be at least 16 years of age - Must have reliable transportation - Weekends and evenings are required - Working outside in all conditions (April - October)
