    DENTAL COLLECTION SUPERVISOR

As a DENTAL COLLECTION SUPERVISOR, within a high growth company, you will be guiding employees and contacting/consulting with patients and/or their families who have outstanding dental bills. You'll consult directly with our dental offices and customers to identify reasons for late payments and set up payment plans that are mutually agreeable, while guiding our employees to do the same. Your ability to communicate, persuade, and convey payment urgency is critical to the overall success of our company. Your work will not only impact the bottom line, but it will also make a difference in the lives of our employees and customers.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervise and guide employees on best practices in collections and customer service.
    • Exhibit calm and mature leadership at all times, never giving in to emotional reactions.
    • Review accounts for accuracy of patient balances due and possible source of payments.
    • Obtain financial agreements or negotiate settlement discounts on potential balance payoff.
    • Identify discrepancies, perform research, and analyze accounts accordingly.
    • Document all pertinent patient communication and relevant information.
    • Submit write off adjustments for review and approval as needed.
    • Review and work A/R to prevent aging of accounts and reduce overall aging of invoices > 90 days old.
    • Communicate with other departments when accounts need correction.
    • Prepare and submit reports to upper management.
    • Demonstrate good customer service skills.
    • Must be able to handle high volume of accounts in a timely manner.
    • Processing of credit card payments or electronic check transactions in secured system.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 2+ years of Customer Service experience
    • 2+ years of Collections experience
    • Some experience in a supervisory position
    • 1+ year of work experience using a computer and Windows PC applications
    • 6+ months of experience using Microsoft Excel (sorting and filtering)
    • Medical/Dental collections experience a plus

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
    • Experience with Dentrix Practice Management software
    • Experience with QuickBooks
