The Senior LIHTC Compliance Specialist will be responsible for an assigned portfolio of properties to handle on a preconcurrence basis. This position requires property management experience and a strong understanding of the LIHTC, HUD, and HOME program rules and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations of their assigned portfolio.

Qualifications:

• The position requires at least 5-6 years of LIHTC property management and/or compliance experience.
• The candidate must be able to travel at will and be on assignment for an extended timeframe.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, organization and professional communication are required.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews and approves compliance files for an assigned portfolio of properties.
• When traveling, must conduct in-person file audits onsite and continue to review their assigned portfolio of properties.
• Ensures that lease files are processed promptly and are complete and, after proper review, ensures that tax credit paperwork and leases are executed properly on approved terms.
• Works with the Property Managers, Area Managers, and Division Managers/Directors on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate files and reporting.

Certifications :

• HCCP certification or equivalent is required
