  • Responsibilities

    What You Will Do:

    We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer! In this role, you will work on the Connected Products team and support development activities for the AeroSync Mission and AeroSync Max family of products. You will interface with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) as part of product development activities for new and existing products. As part of the IPT, you will be responsible for taking a design from concept through development and into production. You will also support root-cause analysis investigations and design updates to existing products to address production yield and field performance issues.

    This hybrid on-site position is based out of our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Connected Products.


    How You Will Do It:

    • Analyze analog, digital, and power circuit designs, including microprocessors/controllers, DSP’s, FPGA’s, sensor interfaces, linear and switching power supplies.
    • Develop and test prototypes to address areas of high technical risk.
    • Contribute to and participate in electrical engineering design reviews and actively address technical risks in the product design.
    • Support EMI/EMC test and troubleshooting activities.
    • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for issues discovered during product verification and qualification testing, customer integration, and product field failures.
    • Support robustness, HALT, and other stress testing methodologies.
    • Work directly with purchasing, manufacturing, and suppliers through new product introduction and product launch.

    What We Look For:

    Required

    • You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or related field.
    • A minimum of one year experience in electrical design or related field.
    • Experience in the development of electronics, including schematic design, circuit simulation, signal integrity analysis, and EMI/EMC compliance.

    Desired

    • Master of Science degree in electrical engineering or related field.
    • Experience in a safety-sensitive products-related field.
    • Experience to DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704 requirements.
    • Familiarity with avionics standards, including ARINC and RTCA.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    Doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline. Must be qualified to manage and direct the laboratory personnel and performance of laboratory testing in accordance with all accrediting bodies, such as CLIA, CAP, PA DOH, MD DOH, NY DOH, CA DOH as it applies to Genomics testing.

    Language Ability

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. High ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external customers in complex and sensitive circumstances. High level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability, validity and analysis.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in using Microsoft Office products in addition to various other software products including the Laboratory Information System. Working knowledge of DNA Analysis Software.
