POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for directing, supporting, and coordinating the Outbound operations and making key decisions regarding the replenishment, picking, and packing of both B2B and B2C orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on day-to-day operations and the leadership of all shift associates including Team Leads
- Coordinate efforts with the entire Warehouse Team to ensure all orders are selected and shipped on time every time through teamwork and delegation
- Track Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) Metrics daily. Ensure, through teamwork and delegation, metrics are improved upon; eliminating waste and funneling up issues for immediate correction to the Management Team.
- Exercise independent and proper judgment on all stages of planning and workload monitoring, including the development and implementation of operational work schedules and assignments to ensure effective and efficient operations
- Effectively communicate with leads and associates regarding job expectations, training materials, performance goals, and assessment of performance
- Conduct job interviews and make recommendations regarding the hiring and separation process for associates
- Instill accountability and responsibility amongst the Team Leads and associates.
- Coach and counsel employees including the creation and administration of disciplinary actions
- Align with peers on all areas and shifts of the operation for a seamless transition of shift and work, providing effective written communication for the transition into the next shift
- Manage all payroll tracking for all permanent associates
- Align with Management on headcount constraints and any assistance needed to achieve goals
- Align with Maintenance on equipment and safety issues
- Align with Management for all strategy updates based on business needs
- Track associate productivity and coach underperformers
- Coach and train associates while maintaining a training log for work instructions
- Lead by example with a result-driven focus
- Maintain 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) Standards
- Make recommendations to the Ops Managers on programs to improve warehouse operations.
- Complete employee performance reviews with associates
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Other projects as assigned by Manager
REQUIRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION
- BA/BS in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain ·
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Manhattan Scale or similar WMS a must and knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP a plus
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products; a high level of Excel proficiency is a must
- Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment
- Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Must be able to work in varying facility conditions
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the customer
