A management firm in Flushing is seeking a motivated fulltime HR/Workforce Assistant to assist with human resources (including the employment, onboarding and exiting of employees) and employee benefits (including unemployment, disability, workers compensation and paid family leave) related tasks in a fast pace bilingual environment.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
—Handling the recruiting and onboarding process of new hires.
—Exploring and managing multimedia channels to maximize recruiting efficiency
—Handling all exit procedures for exiting employees.
—Auditing employee files to ensure that new and exited employees are onboarded and exited within compliance policies.
— Assisting staff with filling for unemployment, disability, worker’s compensation, and paid family leave claims.
—Maintaining proper record keeping of employment and unemployment documents.
—Ensuring all onboarding paperwork are up to date.
—Processing timesheets and payroll weekly and biweekly.
—Keeping track of PTO balance.
—Monitoring, updating and implementing new laws and regulations affecting HR and labor related practices.
—Revising/editing employment documentation and employee manuals.
—Light paralegal work assisting the in-house general counsel.
—Editing and updating employment documents.
REQUIREMENTS:
HR RELATED BACHELOR'S DEGREE PREFERRED
Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
Proficiency in English (Required), proficiency in Cantonese (preferred), proficiency in Mandarin (required)
TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday to Friday: 9:00- 5:00pm
