Who we’re looking for:
Our ideal Corporate Communications Director is a creative, strategic and results-oriented communications professional. Reporting directly to the CEO and President, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a communications strategy to promote the world’s largest real estate franchise and its leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications to plan and execute corporate communications and public relations strategy.
Develop metrics to measure effectiveness of public relations initiatives and updates CEO on activities and outcomes.
Oversees relationships with outside agencies, setting expectations and holding them accountable to company’s vision and priorities.
Manages KWRI Public Relations team.
Identifies and cultivates roster of thought leadership experts in areas including research, economics and technology to share insights and analysis through high-profile media outlets.
Coordinates with Marketing and Communications team to amplify messages across channels.
Leads crisis communications team to respond quickly and effectively to crises including natural disasters, data/technology/security issues and associates in the news.
Manages public relations content on platforms, including KW Connect and KW.com.
Leads KWRI PR committee, known as Paint the Town Red, designed to enhance corporate visibility in Austin.
Works with COO and Legal team to prepare official statements.
Drafts scripts, talking points and correspondence as needed.
Assists executive leadership team with special projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree, required.
Master’s degree, preferred.
10 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate communications and/or public relations.
Strong writing and presentation skills.
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute effective public relations plans.
Must possess the discretion, judgement and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Poise, tact and diplomacy.
Proven ability to work, multi-task and self-direct under tight deadlines.
