The Keller Williams University (KWU) department is looking for a fast-paced, independent thinker who prefers a collaborative and challenging environment and has a proven track record of success.

    Our idea Instructional Designer you are efficient, thorough and self-motivated with a background in instructor-led courses, instructional design methodology, adult learning theory, and e-learning solutions.

    What will you do?

    The Instructional Designer will work individually and within a collaborative team to create revolutionary training resources that empower our associates to be highly successful, while positively affecting the growth, productivity, profitability, and culture of each associate and the company as a whole.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Conduct course research

    o Identify research sources: people, other courses, books, articles, statistics, etc.

    o Identify, vet, and interview subject matter experts

    o Study existing curriculum to ensure consistency and fit

    o Conduct focus groups

    o Develop and maintain field-based knowledge in real estate

    Design and develop training materials that are engaging, activity-based and results oriented.

    o To include

    Project Scope defining the learning objective, benefit statements, project team, stakeholders, timeline, subject matter experts, and projected outcomes.

    Appropriate learning strategy and delivery: how taught (ILT, Online, blended), where taught, who teaches, and activities that students will engage in

    Robust course materials (course workbook, online learning, instructor notes, checklists, tools, videos, marketing, etc.)

    Project management to include:

    o Development and tracking timeline of project

    o Coordination with other divisions for marketing, communications, graphics, layout, videos, audio, copyedits, printing, production, web updates, etc.

    o Subject Matter Expert and executive/stakeholder reviews

    Knowledge/Skills:

    Required

    College degree in one of the following fields: Education, Instructional Design/Technology, English, Journalism

    Demonstrated knowledge and experience in instructor-led courses, instructional design methodology, adult learning theory, and e-learning solutions

    Proven ability to create interactive exercises and activities with demonstrable outcomes

    Superior writing skills: non-fiction writing that is engaging, clear, and direct

    Superior business communication skills – written, oral, presentation, email

    Experience with MSOffice products, presentation tools

    Preferred

    Training delivery or presentation experience

    Leadership experience

    Experience using e-learning development tools such as Captivate, Camtasia, Flash

    Experience with LMSs and online learning software and tools

    Experience with Apple iOS suite of office products – Keynote, etc.

    Experience with iPad, other mobile devices

    Tech-savvy, keeps up with trends

    Experience scripting and directing learning videos

    Real estate knowledge and experience
