What you’ll do:
As our Corporate Counsel for Keller Williams Worldwide (KWW), this individual will support KWRI’s growing international needs, acting as the dedicated franchise attorney to negotiate all master license agreements, lead all commitment/compliance reporting and tracking for all franchisees, resolve all legal disputes and drive the protection of KWRI/KWW’s intellectual property and trademarks in all franchised regions around the world. This individual will work closely with KWRI's Corporate Counsel to ensure KWW stays within alignment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise KWW leaders on international laws and regulations pertaining to master and sub license agreements, compliance, disputes and protection of intellectual property
Structure, review, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements including complicated and lengthy documents.
Negotiate complex contracts with business owners in a variety of countries.
Manage a large workload and juggle responsibilities to address dynamic priorities likely in different time zones.
Develop and maintain relationships in all relevant regions and markets.
Convey complicated information to KWW leaders in a concise and professional manner.
Provide support regarding contract interpretation and guidance.
Provide strategic and practical advice to KWW clients and stakeholders.
Hold business partners accountable and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Provide support as necessary to other functions of the KWW department.
Develop and implement processes and procedures that minimize risk and litigation.
Minimum Requirements:
Juris Doctorate degree.
Admission to at least one state bar.
8+ years of legal experience.
Experience drafting and negotiating fast-paced commercial transactions and responding to international compliance enforcement needs.
Experience negotiating complex contracts.
Excellent communication, organizational and project-management skills.

Availability outside regular work hours may be necessary.
