What you’ll do:
As the Facilities Director, you will be responsible for all operations and activities relating to KWRI buildings and related space. You will develop plans and strategies that meet the needs of both KWRI employees and external stakeholders, while also striving for operational efficiency and resiliency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all activity related to the 2 KWRI headquarter buildings, including the activities of the Space and Tech Facilities teams
Develop strategy and project plan for anticipated build-outs of new office space and technology, using capacity and space utilization planning in each office
Oversee new project or maintenance budget, forecasting any new or upcoming spend in alignment with hiring needs on an annual basis
Partner with the Facilities Manager and Facilities coordinator to ensure that any maintenance and operations work is completed in a safe and timely manner
Regularly up to date on current trends and regulations to ensure technology best practices and compliance standards are being met
Provide all KWRI employees a safe work environment by adhering to all code and compliance regulations, staying up to date on any local and state laws, ADA standards, and proactively planning for growing workforce
Manage new vendor negotiations and onboarding for both facilities and IT needs
Document, maintain and update any building manuals, emergency response plans, contact lists
Ensures facilities services are provided consistent with sustainable principles, including energy and water conservation
Lead the Facilities team by providing direction, growth and development opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years experience in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance,
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously with little to no direction
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and budgetary requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.
Exceptional management and leadership skills, such as delegation and communication.
Action-oriented mindset and result-driven attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 of management experience or leading a team
Knowledge of OSHA, State and Local laws and regulations strongly preferred
Knowledge of environmentally sustainable facilities practices strongly preferred
Project Management experience preferred
