Field Sales Representative (Grocery)
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve sales Goals. KSC is a distributor of grocery products such as tortillas, candy, and spices. This position will work with store decision makers at Walmart, Smith's, and other retailers
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Increase sales in existing accounts, call on prospective customers, and create a strong customer/supplier relationship with retailers.
· Manage existing business accounts utilizing effective call strategies, conceptual selling, creative problem solving, promotional planning, merchandising, etc.
· Call on retailer market, district, and store managers
· Merchandise product to support promotions and general route development
· Prepare sales information for customers
· Establish buying influences, sales plans and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts
· Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment
· Tracking and reporting on-going and consistent market conditions, conditions through internal tools
· Weekly retail/market recap of execution and performance, providing manager feedback on market using internal tools
· Other duties that may become necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES)
· Food consumer packaged goods experience is an asset
· Spanish proficiency helpful
· Experience in managing price package plans for customers
· 1 - 5 years of key account experience or equivalent
· Experience managing trade promotions, product supply planning and retail display execution
· MS Office proficiency required
· Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
