POSITION SUMMARY
As Director, in an individual contributing role you will drive the adoption of GS1 US solutions and standards within the Retail Grocery and Foodservice Industries and other segments or sub-segments of these verticals. The Director will engage with key stakeholders to identify supply chain issues, trends, developments, standards, gaps, and opportunities. The Director prioritizes industry data into a set of objectives that are reflected in the development of an industry strategy and annual plan. The Director is accountable to evangelize, promote and deliver supply chain solutions per the strategy and roadmap.
In this Director role, you will be “At the Root of Traceability”. With food safety, product tracing, and product recalls among the top challenges in these industries
The incumbent will be at the of “heart of creating” solutions with industry leaders to drive traceability, information accuracy, and unique identification of products; you will be working with global standards and crafting solutions to address these issues. In addition, you will help the community come together to assess and address inefficient business processes in order to stabilize and enhance their supply chain operations.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work with leaders in the industry, including associations, Government Agencies like the FDA and USDA, and partner with key decision makers of our Fortune 500 client base to educate them on GS1 US programs, the development of guidelines, and the acceptance and implementation of GS1 US best practices.
