Hello! I'm searching for a fun, and positive male math and sports mentor for my 8 year old son twice a week in the afternoons for a couple of hours (around 6-8 each week). The job would entail meeting my son after school in Queen Anne and doing a sport-related activity with him for an hour or so and then work on math for 45 minutes. He's pretty good with math and is hoping to join the advanced math program next year so needs to be at a 4th grade level by next fall (currently in 2nd grade in the 2nd grade class). For the sports part, unfortunately, his dad is not around often and he needs someone to practice throwing the football, shooting hoops, throwing and catching a baseball and learning the rules as well as good sportsmanship. We're looking for someone who enjoys being around energetic kids and hopes to make a difference in the life of a kid by being a role model / mentor. They would also be proficient in maths (up to calculus level), enjoy teaching and have patience and creativity to make the lessons interesting, and be skilled in and enjoy athletic endeavors. Must have a positive attitude and be fun loving! We live and attend school in Queen Anne. Hours can be somewhat flexible with the exception of Wednesdays when he already has an activity scheduled.
