    SUPPLY CHAIN ASSOCIATE PERISHABLE/NON-PERISHABLE TOOLING

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Sources, negotiates, purchase and manage non-perishable and perishable tooling inventory, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.

    Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine the buying strategy of perishable and non-perishable tooling. Monitors performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends within the space.

    Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.

    Manages perishable and non-perishable inventory levels by coordinating upcoming production needs with the Production Control Department while coordinating supply base availability to improve/reduce the level of tooling on-hand. Coordinate and track cycle count process for inventory and lead any necessary RCCA activities.

    This position requires close, professional & courteous daily interface with internal and external customers and all levels of leadership. Applicant must have excellent communication. Strong organizational skills, prioritizing, and the ability to multi-task and interact with several individuals at once is a must.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Procurement sourcing, negotiation, and compliance experience is required.
    • Experience in the Aerospace Industry preferred.
    • Candidate must be able to work closely with team members and have a willingness to learn.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Experience inputting and retrieving data from an ERP is desired.
    • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

    Candidate must be willing to be on call, work over-time, weekends, and odd shifts, as the program support requires.
