    Job Summary

    We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Kennel Technician to join our animal care team. The Kennel Technician is responsible for the daily care, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring of animals housed in our facility. This role is essential in ensuring the health, comfort, and well-being of pets under our supervision.

    Key Responsibilities

    Feed, water, and monitor animals according to specific dietary and medical requirements.

    Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, play areas, and equipment daily.

    Observe animals for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes and report concerns to supervisors or veterinary staff.

    Exercise and socialize animals, including supervised playtime and walks.

    Assist with bathing, grooming, and basic hygiene maintenance.

    Maintain accurate records of animal care, feeding, medications, and behavior.

    Handle animals safely and humanely.

    Assist with intake and discharge procedures, including preparing kennels and ensuring proper documentation.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or shelter preferred.

    Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior.

    Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments.

    Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

    Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

    Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    Comfortable standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.

    Able to work in environments with loud noise, animal hair, cleaning chemicals, and odors.
