About the Role:

Pet Vet Animal Clinic & Mobile Practice, Ltd in Huntley, IL is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Kennel Attendant to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for an animal lover who thrives in a fast-paced veterinary environment and wants to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily care for boarded animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising

Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment

Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff

Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely during routine care

Assist veterinary and technical staff with basic animal handling as needed

Maintain accurate records of animal feeding schedules, medications, and observations

Provide compassionate interaction and enrichment activities for boarded pets

Requirements:

Genuine love and passion for animals of all breeds and sizes

Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and other animals

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care instructions precisely

Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed

Previous kennel, veterinary, or animal care experience is a plus

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
