The Dog Stop — Kennel Attendant

Position Summary The Canine Handler/Kennel Attendant is responsible for providing attentive care to dogs and maintaining a clean, safe facility. Team members spend their shifts in daycare playrooms and kennel areas supervising dogs and supporting daily operations. This position reports to the Dog Care Manager.

Responsibilities

Supervise dogs in daycare and kennel areas

Monitor behavior and ensure safe interactions

Provide attentive care and maintain comfort of dogs

Clean and sanitize daycare rooms, kennels, and equipment

Move dogs safely between areas

Report health or behavior concerns to management

Qualifications

Passion for working with dogs

Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments

Reliable, attentive, and team-oriented

Animal care experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
