    Clawington of Madison is seeking an experienced Pet Care Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our kennel department and help deliver exceptional care for our canine and feline guests. This hands-on, working manager position is responsible for leading the kennel team, developing employees, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring every pet receives consistent, high-quality care. Applicants should expect to spend the majority of each shift working alongside the team while providing day-to-day leadership and participating in animal care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kennel department while actively working alongside the team.

    Train new team members and provide ongoing instruction to ensure consistent care and safety standards.

    Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and address concerns through regular coaching and feedback.

    Coordinate staffing and daily task assignments to keep operations running efficiently.

    Support the onboarding and development of new employees.

    Ensure all animal care procedures are performed consistently and according to company standards.

    Maintain facility cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.

    Qualifications:

    Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.

    Demonstrated experience training new employees and helping them become successful in their roles.

    Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skill

    Ability to lead a fast-paced, physically active team.

    Professional experience in animal care, boarding, veterinary, daycare, or a related field is preferred.

    Comfortable providing frequent instruction, feedback, and performance coaching as part of daily operations.

    Schedule & Availability

    Full-time position with a consistent 5-day work week (Monday–Friday).

    This role participates in a rotating on-call schedule.

    Weekend and holiday coverage is shared on a rotating basis to support the needs of the facility and ensure continuous care for our pets.
