Job Summary We at GVSO are seeking a dependable, full time Kennel/Technician Assistant to become a valuable member of our medical team. This position can be a great stepping stone for someone looking to get started in the veterinary field! This position is specifically for a 3 day (T, W, TH) 12 hour shift and a short 3-4 hour shift on Fridays. NO Mondays OR weekends!!

Qualifications:

Prior animal care experience required

Animal restraint experience preferred

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and able to assist in moving dogs >50 pounds

Must be comfortable standing, walking and being active for most of the day

Must be willing to perform cleaning duties

Must be a team player but able to work individually

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and sanitizing cages and indoor runs

Walking pets prior to surgery

Caring for patients and keeping them clean and dry

Cleaning and maintaining hospital

Doing laundry and restocking supplies

Assisting technicians daily

Animal handling and restraint

Hours:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8am- 8pm

Friday 8am - 12 pm

Pay: $15-$18
