    Kensium is currently seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer to join our ERP Sales Team.  You’ll play an integral role in an exciting and fast-paced team where the sky is truly the limit.  In this role you will play a crucial part in supporting the Director of Sales by understanding and documenting complex customer requirements, developing and presenting solutions and conducting technical product demonstrations of Acumatica during the pre-sales process.

    You should be a self-aware, self-starting individual with a well-rounded skillset; Someone who has the depth and breadth of technical knowledge to know the “right way” to develop automated processes and operation systems, while also possessing the fearlessness to propose new and innovative ideas. The right person for this job will pride themselves on taking responsibility for their role, but also not become too distracted by titles, because we often wear many hats, and each of us must do whatever it takes to get the job done. You should have the capacity to be given a task and own it because we loathe micro-management, and you should as well. You should be a technologist who is passionate about their work and strives for continuous improvement. This role carries with it the possibility of providing a good deal of influence on how our growing team matures as we expand our influence within the global ERP eco-system.     THIS MIGHT BE THE JOB FOR YOU IF YOU:

    • Are currently an ERP Solution Architect with many projects under your belt, and are interested in evolving from Delivery to Sales, and having a tremendous impact on Kensium’s ability to grow and scale over the next 3-5 years.
    • Have experience implementing ERP projects from Technical Design through production.
    • Have an intellectual curiosity to pursue the unknown and to continuously improve your knowledge and capabilities.
    • Are able to understand the “big picture”, but possess a keen attention to detail.
    • Work with new prospects on sales opportunities assigned to the sales team, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the Sales Director.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Actively participate in scoping, discovery and proposal review sessions with the client prospect and with the internal Kensium team.
    • Comfortable discussing, collaborating, and evolving Kensium’s understanding of the client’s requirements and concerns, internally and externally.
    • Coordinate with partners and integrated software vendors (ISV’s) to arrive at the proper modules and pricing of the overall solution 
    • Ability to develop and articulate solution options, associated risks and costs, pros and cons, and make clear, confident recommendations grounded in reality.
    • Align client’s business needs and process workflow with Acumatica by understanding the customer’s current state and business objectives.
    • Produce the technical specifications needed to determine out of the box capabilities or if there is a need for custom development.
    • Scope and document (written and/or visually) the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assess customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Kensium.
    • Manage the creation of the associated solution scope, timelines, WBS, estimates and Proposal.
    • Manage the estimate as it evolves.
    • Present the solution, estimates and proposal to the prospect/client. Consult with clients to lead them to the optimal technical solutions based on their needs, and the business, with confidence.
    • Customize a demonstration environment (logo, color scheme, branches, sample products, etc.) prior to any needed sales demonstration for a prospect.
    • Respond to RFP questions or prospects clarifying questions both in writing and/or recorded video if necessary.
    • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales growth, as directed.
    • Participate in the evolution of process improvements and cross-functional commnications.
    • Communicate effectively and work well with cross-functional teams across geographic regions. (CRITICAL)
    • Can analyze data to learn how to improve processes and systems continuously.
    • Participation in pre & post-sales technical scoping, requirements gathering, and solution creation & review.
    • Ability to bring new ideas to the client regarding strategy in engaging with customers across their digital channels.
    • Maintain technical knowledge and certification badges as indicated by the Director of ERP Sales. Be fully aware of, and be able to articulate advanced product features, benefits, and overall product solutions

     

    QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 6+ years ERP Implementation or Development experience.
    • Minimum of 4+ years of real-world experience with ERP development (Plugin/Theme development /API) in the last 3 years.
    • Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company
    • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in either Informatics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Interactive Design, Instructional Systems, or related field. (PLUS)
    • Solutions-oriented thinking; always looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer
    • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication
    • A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies

    SKILLS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Expert understanding of ERP
    • Experience with complex selling & value-based (consultative) sales strategies
    • Excellent communication, planning, organization and presentation skills 
    • Strong customer relationship skills 
    • Ability to conduct effective needs analysis 
    • Experience in eCommerce, Big Commerce or Magento is a plus
