Cover Letter Required Reports to: COO & Office Manager Medical Sales Representative Overview The Medical Sales Representative is an outside sales position focused on developing new referral source accounts for Medical Group in Louisville, Elizabethtown, and future potential areas in Kentucky. The Medical Sales Representative is responsible for the account development and activity tracking. This position will require a deep understanding of our services, what differentiates our Medical Group from our competition, and target audience to generate qualified referrals for our Medical Group. Marketing Responsibilities - Understands who our target referral source audience is and prioritizing the time spent on each category. - Manages and maintains our Medical Group's customer relational management software database. - Researches the industry and our Medical Group employees for new referral source prospects. - Works with management to create strategies to increase our Medical Group awareness, branding and referral generation. - Plans, sets up, attends and represents our Medical Group at industry seminars and conferences. - Works with our Marketing Company to coordinate & integrate marketing activities. - Maintains knowledge of competitors and their presence in our respective markets. Sales Responsibilities - Account Maintenance: Calls and sets relationship appointments with existing referral source decision makers and/or referral coordinators. - New Accounts: Prospects, cold calls, qualifies, sets appointments with prospective referral source decision makers and/or referral coordinators. - Sets up and attends luncheons at top existing and large prospective referral source facilities. Include our Medical Group Doctor, COO, and/or Office Manager for large opportunities if possible. - Suggesting sales process adjustments and improvements to the COO on an ongoing basis. - Maintains daily scheduling & tracking marketing/sales activity with results. Qualifications / Education - Cover Letter Required - Bachelor's Degree. Preferably in marketing, communications, public relations, or similar curriculum. - 1-4 years marketing, sales, and/or customer service experience. Preferably in the medical field. - Self-motivated, trustworthy, strong time management skills, and disciplined at prioritizing time spent on assigned activities. - Extremely outgoing personality, friendly, positive, loves to meet and help people. - Able to build strong, cohesive working relationships. - Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills. - Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. - Exceptional organizational, follow up, and teamwork skills. - Exceptional business maturity and entrepreneurial attitude. - Extremely competitive with desire for our Medical Group to be the number one choice in our respective markets. - Very influential but not pushy. - Professional business attire and appearance. - Ability to work independently & exercise sound judgement. - Able to maintain confidentiality. - Able to remain calm & manage own emotions. - Fluent in Microsoft Office suite of software tools. Travel Requirements Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel areas in and around Louisville, Elizabethtown and other potential cities for Company business.
