Kernel Labs is looking for a UX Designer to join our team in Seattle. This person will be responsible for the helping to plan, implement and iterate on the user-facing experience of our products.

The ideal candidate will have a sufficient technical background, a good eye for aesthetics, simplicity and usability, and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions. This person is patient, has excellent time-management skills, and practices of effective communication style.

Responsibilities:

• DESIGN AND DEVELOP – Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets. Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
• PREPARE AND REACT – Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, like responsiveness. Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback. Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design or a related field
• Portfolio of design projects
• Experience working with CSS and HTML
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Good time-management skills and strong communication skills
