     DEFINITION:

    A warehouse coordinator is a position in the warehouse department of Kernel Season’s that picks and fulfills orders received from multiple sources, which are confirmed, approved and processed by Sales Support. The orders may include preparations of truckload, single or multiple pallet loads, UPS/FedEx, messenger and customer pickup. The position may also be responsible for the physical day to day movement of finished goods and raw materials in the facility. The loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments. The Warehouse Coordinator must also demonstrate the desired levels of maturity, responsibility and commitment to meet company requirements. Individuals are also forklift certified and have expressed a desire for more responsibility and growth. 

    REPORTS TO: WAREHOUSE MANAGER/WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

    CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

    This is a non-exempt, full time position. Standard work days are Monday through Friday.  Shift hours are determined by business needs. All employees in this position must be available prior to their shift start time and available until the shift ends. When overtime is required, employees in this position are expected to work the required hours. 

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to read, count and write accurately. Must be able to climb ladders, must be able to stand for extended periods of time and move items that can weigh up to 50 pounds.  

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Follow all of Kernel Season’s general work rules, policies and procedures.

    • Follow all safety rules, guidelines and GMP’s

    • Follow all Management instructions

    • Able to lift at least 50lbs.

    • Able to stand for long periods of time.

    • Basic computer skills, including MS Office, Sage and UPS Worldship.

    • Ability to read and record specific information of product accurately.

    • Trained to operate forklifts, pallet jacks (electric and manual), pallet wrappers and freight scales.

    • Certification for forklift operation required

    • Must be fluent in English

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure that all of Kernel Season’s products meet or exceed all company quality standards and report out of conformance products.

    • Correctly and proficiently pack customer orders as directed including theatre direct orders, theatre distributor orders, grocery direct and distributor orders, special request or sales samples orders and any other orders as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

    • Follow and observe inventory stock rotation directives.

    • Notify management of low inventory levels or special situations that may arise.

    • Meet all timelines in regards to orders and sample requests in hand.

    • Read and understand all customer orders, ability to notice any discrepancies.

    • Understand all product specs and have a full understanding of all available products offered.

    • Record lot number tracking information accurately in computer system.

    • Safely operate designated equipment used in general warehouse environment, including but not limited to, pallet wrappers, freight scales, pallet jacks (electric and manual) and forklifts. Also the usage of cleaning equipment such as mops brooms and vacuums.

    • Keep designated work areas clean, including sweeping and mopping of floors and cleaning of shelving and racking as designated.

    • Understand and interpret product codes and labels.

    • Coordinate daily workload to facilitate timely delivery to customers.

    • Inspect outgoing conveyances and notify management of any issues.

    • Properly complete all shipping and receiving documents and logs.

    • Coordinate and load all outbound traffic to include: Truckload, LTL, UPS/FedEx or any other method required to facilitate customer orders.

    • All other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

    AUTHORITY TO:

    • Reject non-conforming product before being packed with an order

    • Operate forklifts and hand trucks
