    Job Description

    JOB OVERVIEW The Senior Systems Engineer will join the Keurig Dr Pepper Global Product Organization. The Senior Systems Engineer will work on cross-functional teams, implementing next generation technology for existing Keurig appliances.

     

    The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the implementation of appliance technologies, sustain existing technologies, and challenge past decisions in support of sustaining engineering. This position will require both technical and leadership skills to coordinate a cross-functional development team and ensure all engineering work is delivered on-time in addition to meeting cost and performance targets. This position will have significant impact and leverage on current and future products and will be in an excellent position for visibility and growth within the Keurig Dr Pepper Global Product Organization and Coffee Business Unit.

     

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Lead the implementation of new technologies into existing appliances.
    • Serve as a primary technical interface with suppliers and partners to manage existing products.
    • Develop/ lead new technologies with internal and external partners to meet appliance requirements.
    • Partner with our quality organization to continuously improve products based on consumer feedback.
    • Leverage a broad technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, software, and connected systems.
    • Support and/or drive continuous improvement in our internal processes.
    • Create and maintain design documentation such as CAD files, specifications, and reports.
    • Provide direction and mentorship for peers and colleagues.
    • Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
    • 6+ years of professional experience in a relevant industry.
    • Previous experience managing projects or programs with internal and external resources.
    • Previous experience managing projects with high complexity and minimal direct oversight.
    • Ability to maintain timelines and budgets across multiple partners.
    • Familiarity with Lean and Agile development.
    • 3D design/modeling (SolidWorks).
    • Component/Assembly design analysis.
    • High volume consumer product design.
    • Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles and best practices.
    • Experience performing dFMEA and developing Engineering Test Plans is highly desirable.
    • Detailed component specification.
    • Design for Six Sigma practices including Root Cause Analysis, 8D, A3, Design of Experiments, etc.
    • Statistics as applicable to high volume product design and manufacture.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • An aptitude for creating and presenting data-based trade-off studies as input to decision making.
    • Familiar with Return-on-Investment (ROI) analysis methods.
    • Ability to present technologies and status of development projects to management and stakeholders.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
    • Demonstrated record of making critical decisions that positively impact the course of the organization.
    • Effective at mentoring junior staff members.
