Job Description

The Financial Analyst Intern will provide support to Key Leadership to include monthly P&L review and reporting, budget/forecast of divisional support areas (Finance, Marketing, Legal, etc.). Opportunity to learn in young Technology Company that works with both Private and Government Clients.

• Review and forecast costs for various support functions
• Prepare and analyze current financial status of the key areas ensuring that stakeholders fully understand results
• Compare forecasted and actual results and partner with management teams to identify areas of improvement
• Manage divisional submissions to group and provide group finance with the required insight and understanding of financial results
• Participate in annual budgeting process
• Review finance and accounting processes to continuously improve financial reporting and forecasting accuracy
• Headcount reporting for support functions
• Develop policies, systems, analysis, and business case reporting processes
• Duties require detailed understanding of business processes, broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex financial issues
• Works with confidential and commercially sensitive data
• Maintains relationships with Sales team and across finance
• Support FP&A management with special projects and ad hoc requests that require financial and operational analysis

• Financial Analysis, Reporting and Presentation skills
• Communications skills to engage management, interpret requirements and influence decisions
• Project management skills to ensure delivery of assignments, engage stakeholders and organize priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Teamwork orientation and collaborate on projects and support team development
• Business acumen to appreciate the broader context of financial decisions
• Results oriented and ability to multi task
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university with accounting or finance focus
