We are looking for an experienced payroll specialist to process and manage our multi-state payroll. You will calculate commissions for our sales personnel on a weekly basis. You will gather and verify hours worked for hourly employees, and process payroll for salaried employees. You will be entrusted with confidential information, and relied upon to provide accurate compensation to all employees in a time-sensitive manner.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as payroll specialist in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and experience with multi-state payroll processing
• Knowledge and experience with involuntary deductions such as garnishments
• Excellent spreadsheet skills
• Proficient in G Suite products (Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc)
• Stay informed of changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the states where our employees reside; update payroll systems accordingly
• Maintain accurate records of payroll data (e.g., time sheets, commission records, etc)
• Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and managers
• Issue paper checks, ACH transfers, or wire transfers to resolve payroll errors and/or backpay
• Stay current on the company’s organizational structure, and update systems when necessary
• Prepare reports for Finance dept. and management
• Assists in development of payroll procedures and processes by recommending improvements or policy changes
• Excellent organizational skills and follow through skills
• Detail oriented and analytical
• Ability to work and adhere to strict deadlines
• Quickbooks experience desired
• Prior AR/AP experience helpful

Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
