Position Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned C#/.NET Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of architectural design ability, coding expertise, and a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications using C# and the .NET framework.
- Proven mastery implementing applications using ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, create technical designs, and develop innovative solutions
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, microservices, and design patterns
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Maintain and improve existing software, and provide technical support where necessary.
- Spock-like precision code quality, organization, and automation
- Collaborate with code-slinging compatriots and product visionaries to envision the next generation of our digital dominion
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 3+ years of experience in software design and development
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, and Entity Framework
- Knowledge of application architecture including scalable software solutions
- An enthusiastic advocate for clean, efficient, and maintainable code with an understanding of software architectural patterns and best practices
- Expertise in relational databases, like SQL Server
- Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure and AWS
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Knowledge with modern software development tools and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the area of software architecture
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and PostgresSQL
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (Azure Functions, Blob Storage, IoT Hub, AWS Lambda, IoT Core, etc.)
- Dabbled in interesting projects for the Raspberry Pi
- Foster a passion for learning new technologies and experience the joy of watching your code move the world
