Keys Instructor — Piano & Keyboard | Bach to Rock® Music School — Herndon, VA

Bach to Rock® Music School in Herndon, VA is looking for a versatile Keys Instructor to join our team of musician-educators. Whether your background is rooted in classical piano, contemporary keyboard, or both — if you can teach students to love the instrument and make real music, we want to talk.

At Bach to Rock, the keyboard is everywhere — from solo piano lessons to band programs where a keys player holds the harmonic foundation. Our students span every age and genre preference, and the best keys instructor for us is someone who can move fluently between coaching a 6-year-old through their first chords and helping a teenage student develop their own musical identity.

    What You'll Do:

Teach private piano and keyboard lessons to students of all ages and skill levels

Work across a wide range of styles — classical repertoire, pop, rock, R&B, jazz, funk, and more

Personalize every lesson to the student's goals and musical interests

Use Bach to Rock's curriculum as a framework while bringing your own musical voice to the room

Track progress and communicate proactively with parents and guardians

    Schedule & Availability:

Weekday afternoons and evenings (approx. 3PM–9PM)

    Saturdays (9AM–5PM)

Flexible scheduling built around your performing commitments

Comfortable working in a school environment with children and adults

Reliable transportation to our Herndon studio

    Must pass a background check

Gigging, recording, or performing? We love working musicians
