    COMPANY BACKGROUND:

    Our Client offers dietary supplements with impactful amounts of ingredients, supported by research, to effectively address the science behind symptoms. Product marketing claims are scientifically referenced, and key finished products are studied to show outcomes. 

    The company is launching a new consumer brand developed to expand into the retail/digital space and engage directly with consumers. In addition to providing effective, non-GMO, blended supplement products to consumers at competitive prices, its mission focuses on transparency. The consumer brand desires to show the Why behind supplements with fun, accessible education that responsibly grows consumer awareness of the industry. Additionally, all products are independently tested so consumers may verify for themselves what is on the label, is in the product. The brand will initially focus on offering unique supportive solutions for sleep, stress, energy, and immune health needs. The brand will launch commercially summer 2021.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Brand Manager is responsible for supporting brand development and execution of marketing campaigns to achieve the short and long-term business objectives for the new consumer brand. The Brand Manager works in close partnership with the VP of Business Development to manage all consumer brand day-to-day business activity. The Brand Manager will be an immediate contributor to the brand’s strategic choices, product innovations and renovations, communication plans, operational coordination, and executions across all touchpoints. To be successful, the Brand Manager will have a strong passion for understanding consumer behavior, show omnichannel marketplace understanding with nuanced knowledge, experience in digital marketing, and have a highly competitive nature to win market-share.

    This position can be based in greater Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN or fully remote.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Brand Manager will be the day-to-day business owner for the consumer brand. They will coordinate with other internal parties as well as outside agency partners to drive brand growth momentum. Overall duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

    Business Analytics and P&L Management

    • Develop and maintain business forecasting

    • Track, analyze performance and generate meaningful KPI reporting

    • Evaluate market trends and produce actionable guidance for future R&D and marketing budget spend

    • Effectively drive responsible, sustainable P&L management

    Brand, Marketing, and Sales Management

    • Develop annual brand strategies, including resource allocation, and quarterly marketing objectives

    • Work cross functionally with agency partners in creative development, promotional execution, and ensuring ROI of all agency-led campaigns

    • Coordinate with in-house graphics to lead content creation as needed, including but not limited to writing copy, storyboarding video content, designing social posts, and producing press releases

    • Run mental health charitable brand component, including charity identification and management

    • Oversee social media channels (specifically Instagram and Facebook) and execute social strategy

    • Ensure proper operational management of Amazon and direct .com sales channels

    • Support and align with key brand reseller partners to sample effectively and generate new sales

     

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    Required:

    Undergraduate college degree in marketing, business, or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant work experience with experience in consumer packaged goods marketing within the Food/Drug/Health categories. Experience marketing and selling competitively in digital/eCommerce channels and/or physical retail.

    Preferred: 5+ years of relevant work experience in leading consumer packaged goods marketing with measurable track record of brand growth in revenue, market share, and/or market prestige. Advanced digital marketing experience with a healthcare or dietary supplement portfolio also a plus.
