    POSITION DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

    We are looking for an exceptional individual, who has professional experience and strong verbal and written communication skills, for our President & CEO position. Duties will include managing all aspects of the primary business unit, including planning, policies, procedures, human resources, intellectual property, financials (P&L), sales, marketing, budgeting, logistics, research, and licensing and acquisitions.

     This is a top level professional position and requires working full time in the Austin, TX, office/warehouse. No exceptions. Educational requirements include a BS/BA degree (MBA or MS preferred), a minimum of 15 years of managerial experience, ideally in the ingredient, food, or beverage industry, or in a closely related industry, and having demonstrated, measurable success in previous positions. In addition, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated PC abilities with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, are required for consideration.

     

    Position duties and market segments served:

    Top level management of the global sales and marketing activities for company's patented, research validated, health benefiting, specialty ingredients, into these various market segments: nutritional supplements, sports nutritionals, beverages and shots, and specialty foods

     

    Responsibilities to include:

    1. Oversee all ongoing business activities of the business unit, as per formal budget, and objectives established by top management and ownership.
    2. Work in concert with other company business units, specifically those engaged in the production and supply chain/logistics, and research/new product development areas.
    3. Manage all aspects of planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including financial (P&L) preparation, and internal and external audits, and reporting to top management and governmental agencies as required.
    4. Oversee all aspects of the businesses, to ensure that all corporate guidelines, objectives, regulations, and mandates are met satisfactorily.
    5. Manage research endeavors internally and externally, focused to support the company’s sales objectives, in accordance with corporate objectives.
    6. Manage, secure, appoint, and develop other department heads, managers, and employees.
    7. Oversee the physical operation and ensure safety and regulatory compliance at corporate, state, and federal levels.
    8. Foster a safe, respectful, productive, and legal workplace for all employees.

     

    Personal characteristics, travel, and compensation overview:

    The candidate must be able and willing to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada on an “as needed” basis, including participation in numerous trade and professional events throughout the year, with routine international trips to the corporate office and production facility in Europe..
