    Our Client is a pioneer in the premium, natural, private label industry, and are the go-to manufacturer for store brand tablets, capsules and powders. They offer over 400 SKUs in stock and NBE lines including certified organic, Non-GMO, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free supplements. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Supply Chain team for a growing contract manufacturer.

    This position can be worked remotely within the US

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Conducts all negotiating and purchasing activities for all facilities, including approval of contractual agreements regarding pricing and quantities of raw materials with vendors.
    • Sources new raw and finished materials and support product development team.
    • Manages contract administration of external vendors for final product purchases to include:
      • Creates standards for products to meet our internal requirements.
      • Establishes testing and acceptance protocols upon receipt of products
      • Confirms compliance with established regulatory guidelines to meet customer requirements.
    • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
    • Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
    • Coordinates production planning/purchases.
    • Oversees electronic requisition process for order generation, signature approval and placement of raw materials.
    • Regularly analyzes supplier base to reduce costs, back-up source and improve efficiencies, including recommending and sourcing alternative suppliers that meet delivery requirements and quality standards.
    • Reviews industry trends for purchasing and supply chain regulations, particular to the Food and Drug administration.
    • Responsible for hiring, training, providing direction, conducting performance reviews, and performance managing direct reports.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related concentration.
    • 7+ years supply chain experience in a manufacturing operations environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3+ years of prior management experience, including management of remote staff.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Able to plan, multi-task, manage time effectively and shift priorities to meet changing business demands.
    • Effective business partner and team player; able to build rapport at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
    • Membership in American Purchasing Society preferred.
    • Travel to other locations, tradeshows and vendor visits (up to 25%) required.
    • Able to partner with and positively influence employees and work cross-functionally w/ different departments.
    • Proficient in MS Suite of products.
